We have two separate check-in times for PULSE & Camp PULSE participants. Please come to whichever is more convenient for you.
 (you do not need to come to both)

Individuals – You must be present at check-in to receive your wristband. Parents and teachers may NOT check-in for dancers.

Groups – If you’re registered with a group of 10+ dancers your Group Leader will pick up bands for all dancers in their group at the Group Check-In Table.

Release & Waiver Form

You must have a signed Release & Waiver Form to participate at The PULSE and Camp PULSE. If you are unsure if you agreed online, please download and fill out a form just in case. Participants without a signed Release & Waiver Form will not be allowed to check in. Groups of 10+ dancers must turn in their waivers before the event.

Observer Bands

Pre-registered observer bands can be picked up at the Observer Bands table. Bands will be sold onsite for the entire long weekend or for a single day, for cash only. The Battle Royale Regionals & Semi-Finals, Scholarship Ceremony and Camp PULSE Parent Show-Off are free to watch, no observer band necessary!

The Insight

We invite teachers to join our PULSE Directors for open floor Q & A session.  Ask any questions you may have about your students, your studio, The PULSE, or the dance world.  We will go over last-minutes updates for the weekend, and the schedule!

Off the Record

Group leaders and teachers are invited for this sit-down luncheon on Saturday with The PULSE & Camp PULSE Faculty.  This is an open floor forum and chance for you to connect on a casual, personal level with our faculty. Anyone interested in attending Creative Connect must have an All Access Band or a Studio Management band. Must RSVP.

Don’t miss these private classes with two of the most respected and sought-after choreographers in the business today! These are closed classes- you must have an All Access band to enter.  These classes are one of the most talked about experiences at The PULSE!

This is a chance to sit down with our Directors and Alumni PULSE Parents for an open forum discussion on all thing "PULSEFam" such as opportunities in the industry, agents, college vs. career, and your dancers path and dreams. Feel free to ask questions and give feedback.

Parent Show-Off

The Camp PULSE Parent Show-Off is an opportunity for dancers to show what they have learned over the weekend. There will be a short rehearsal prior to the show off for dancers to review. This rehearsal will be closed to all parents (including those with observer bands). Rehearsal will begin at 2:00PM, in which all parents will be asked to leave the room.

•SCHOLARSHIPS•

All registered participants are eligible for scholarships! Dancers may pick up a number during check-in. We do not have a traditional closed audition. Instead, the Faculty choose to reward dancers who catch their eye in classes- whether it’s recognizing technique, drive, style or enthusiasm. This process not only permits more class time, but also allows for a controlled, creative, casual atmosphere. We ask that you wear your scholarship number throughout the entire weekend so each faculty can get the chance to see you during your class performance! We will announce our winners at the Scholarship Ceremony on Sunday.

Dancers who registered and paid to perform in the Opening Number must arrive on Friday, December 1st by 6:00pm for check-in and mandatory rehearsal.

Battle Royale Regionals

Saturday Evening, 7:30pm

We invite all dancers registered for the PULSE or Camp PULSE Convention to perform any number of their choice (solo, duet, trio, quartets, small group, large group, line, or production) on Saturday evening. Each routine will be evaluated by our Faculty and will receive audio/visual critique. Our faculty will choose the top 2 routines from each performance and age division (12 & Under Solo/Duet/Trio & Group/Line/Production -- 13 & Over Solo/Duet/Trio & Group/Line/Production) to advance into our Battle Royale Finals at our Summer Las Vegas. These selected routines will be announced at our Scholarship Ceremony on Sunday.

Music

Music must be turned in BEFORE the event! Music may be uploaded online, by signing in to your account, or email directly to Julia@PulseDanceExperience.com. Be sure to have a back-up copy of your music should there be any issues on-site.  

Schedule

A tentative schedule will be emailed to performers one week before the event. A final schedule will be emailed out the Tuesday before the event.

Join us Saturday night for Camp PULSE Pajama Jamm! Camp PULSE Staff will host games, contests, relays and more. Wear your favorite PJs and be ready to dance and have fun! Please be mindful when choosing your pajamas- remember you will be dancing!

•ACTING WORKSHOPS•

Camp PULSE: Acting Workshop

This workshop includes script work, improvisational skills, movement, pace, timing and auditioning techniques, as well as feedback and a Q&A session. At the end of the Workshop, select students will be asked to participate in a scene to do LIVE during our Parent Showoff the next day! Space still available!

Camp PULSE Acting Workshop: Saturday, 3:30-5:30pm

The PULSE Acting for TV, Film, and Stage

In this class you will learn the proper technique and protocol for working in this sometimes overwhelming and crazy industry. Get the tools you need to stay ahead. Get the information you need to stay relaxed. Classes will include improvisational work, movement, pace, timing, and auditioning techniques. All work will be done in a relaxed, fun environment. Space still available!

PULSE Acting Workshop: Sunday, 8:00-9:30am

•MASTER CLASS WITH LAURIEANN GIBSON•

Join us on for a Master Class with Laurieann Gibson on Friday night 9:00-10:00pm! $20 cash only at the door.

• PHOTOS & VIDEOS •

This event is too exciting not to capture on film! Our professional photographers, will be onsite all weekend, so be sure to check out the photos of yourselves to purchase. Evolve will provide photos and videos of our Battle Royale Regionals and Semi-Finals as well as photos from class. Flash photography will be allowed throughout the event in hallways and common areas, not inside class.

• FACULTY PHOTOSHOOTS •

It can be difficult to catch the Faculty in between classes for photos, so we have designed a great system ensuring that all dancers can have a PULSE & Camp PULSE photo in a timely and organized fashion! These are the only times we will host a group photo session with the faculty throughout the workshop. In order for this opportunity to run smoothly, we ask that you abide by the procedure created by the staff and faculty. Camp PULSE Photoshoot will be Saturday immediately following the last class in the Camp PULSE Room. The PULSE Photoshoot will be Saturday night immediately following the Battle Royale Semi-Finals. These photos are available to purchase at the Evolve booth on Sunday!
