REQUIREMENTS

GENERAL RULES

Positive attitude towards all parents, teachers and students is A MUST! Remember, you are now part of The PULSE team and an inspiration to young dancers attending our event. We pride ourselves on customer service. Please help continue our goals and mission by using your most POSITIVE energy!

The PULSE will not accept inappropriate behavior from Protégés. Be aware of your status and know that all eyes are on you, in and out of your protégé “uniform!” If you are found acting in an unacceptable manner by disrespecting The PULSE On Tour or any of its customers at anytime, you will be removed from Protégé status.

Please always keep in mind that being a PULSE Protégé is a privilege and should be treated as such. You were chosen to represent our company and its standards. The top priority at The PULSE is to provide a one-of-a-kind experience through dance education.  You are the face of our staff, faculty and company name. Please be mindful of this!

CREW

As a part of your Protégé scholarship you are required to assist the registration team as a part of our Crew. You may be asked to assist in some of the following areas:

  • Individual Check In
  • Scholarship Numbers
  • Ballroom Set Up
  • Greeting
  • Working Backstage and Holding Room during our Performances

You are required to work on Friday from 5:00pm-7:30pm and Saturday from 7:45am to 9:30am and Saturday night after the performance. You are required to meet the Staff for the Battle Royale Semi-Finals on Saturday evening at 6:45pm. You will be greeting our guests and helping our staff backstage, as needed. Immediately following the show, you will be asked to stay an additional 20-30 minutes following the showcase and photo session.

For all shifts, please arrive on time and dressed in black pants (no dance clothing) and black shoes. You will be given a Crew shirt in your first city as Protégé, please wear it for your working shift in each city. Please do not cut or tamper with this shirt in any way. Your apparel should be dressy-casual to present yourself in a professional manner.

ASSISTING

You will be assisting in your respective room throughout the weekend, at the discretion of the faculty. You are expected to dance “full out” and to the best of your ability at all times. Be ready, our staff and faculty will be relying on your assistance! You are required to wear your Protégé scholarship numbers while dancing in class. Please do not wear your green Protégé attire while in the classroom. You are able to wear the black Protégé shirt you received when you won in class.
