You must be present at check-in to receive your wristband and t-shirt.
Parents and teachers may NOT check-in for dancers.

If you’re registered with a group of 10+ dancers your Group Leader will pick up bands for all dancers in their group at the Group Check-In Table.

If you are performing in our Open Call Competition you will check in on Monday, July 9th from 6:00 - 8:00 PM.


You must have a signed Release & Waiver Form to participate. If you are unsure if you agreed online, please download and fill out a form just in case. Participants without a signed Release & Waiver Form will not be allowed to check in.  Groups of 10+ dancers must turn in their waivers before the event.


Pre-registered observer bands will be in your packet at check-in. Bands will be sold onsite for the entire long weekend or for a single day, for cash only.

Open Call Competition, Battle Royale Finals, Camp PULSE Parent Show off and the Scholarship Ceremony are free to watch, no observer band necessary!


Registrants will receive one band for the weekend, and is their entry into whichever level has pre-registered for (Pop Starz, Teen Team, Intermediate, High Intermediate, Advanced or Pro). Lost or removed bands require full repayment of registration fee. No exceptions.


Monday, July 9th, 8:00 – 9:00 PM

Come kick off the weekend with your fellow dancers at our Welcome Party!
There will be music, games, snacks, and more! Don’t miss this fun night!


Tuesday, July 10th, 8:30 AM

We invite all registered dancers to perform any number of their choice (solo, duet, trio, quartet, small group, large group, etc) in front of a panel of Open Call Judges. Each routine will receive audio/visual critique as well as an adjudication award based on their score. If a category division has more than three routines, we will also recognize the top scoring routines with a placement such as 3rd, 2nd and 1st. In order to keep the award announcements in entry order, those routines will be announced after the adjudication score. We will also announce the Top 5 Highest Scoring routines from each age division and category. Overall High Score awards are divided between Solo/Duo/ & Trio and Group/Line/ & Production for both 12 & Under and 13 & Older. They will be announced at the final awards ceremony!

Performers will also have the opportunity to be chosen to:

·      Perform in our Opening or Closing Number at the Final Night Gala

·      Re-perform in our Scholarship Ceremony on Saturday afternoon

·      Receive Scholarships and Awards

·      Eligibility for our PULSE Choreographer Award

Please email your music ahead of time to and bring a CD copy with you. A schedule will be emailed to you on one week before the event.


In order to participate in the Opening or Closing number you must perform in our Open Call Competition held Tuesday afternoon. Our panel of evaluators will choose their top performers and place them into either the Opening or Closing number. Both numbers will perform in the Final Night Gala held Saturday night.



Friday July 13, 7:15 PM

The Battle Royale Finals will consist of the top routines from our Battle Royale Semi-Finals held during our 2017-2018 regional tour as well as our Principal Lead Role competition. All routines will re-compete in front of ALL PULSE & Camp PULSE Faculty. Our Battle Royale Semi-Finalists will compete for our ultimate cash prize and the title of our Battle Royale Finalist and our Lead Role dancers will compete to be crowned Principal Lead Role!


Register to learn and perform a piece at our Battle Royale Finals on Friday night! This piece is choreographed and taught by Ricky Hinds and is a great opportunity for individual dancers to perform on The PULSE stage.

Wednesday, July 11th, 4:00 PM

Join us for this two-part seminar with the industry’s leading agents. All dancers are encouraged to attend the first half hour, which will include a Business of Dance and Q&A section.

Get educated and informed about what it takes to have a successful career, how to handle rejection, how to transition from student to dancer. Dancers who are truly thinking about a professional career are then invited to participate in a private audition. This is a tremendous opportunity for dancers actively seeking representation!

The next hour will consist of a mock audition that will be held to give dancers the opportunity to experience first-hand what it takes to audition for an agency.

The PULSE, Camp PULSE and Open Call are known among many agents as "where to find dancers"—so exciting! Agents will also be on-site all weekend to watch classes and scout talent! Each agency represents Directors, Choreographers, Designers, Dancers, and Actors for Commercials, Film, TV, Music, and Theatre.


Thursday, July 12th: 4:15 - 6:15pm

Open to all levels of acting abilities. Students will be working on improvisational skills, movement, pace, timing and auditioning. Lane Napper has plenty of material based on your level, so come ready to learn and have fun!

Parents are encouraged to stay for the entire Workshop. Lane will be offering you tips and insight on how to take your child’s talent to the “next level”. He’ll even talk about getting an Agent, what classes should you be taking, where do you go from here.

Class will start with a few words from Lane about “the business of acting” then students will be paired up to perform a few IMPROV scenes. This is a favorite with parents! They can’t stop laughing when this takes place!!! After that, students will be given a small page of dialogue to perform in front of the room. The scene is short and is something right out of a commercial or television show. Lastly, students will be divided into small groups to perform an actual scene. Students will have the opportunity to play off of each other. Scenes are fun, fast paced and loaded with enough energy to fill an entire room! Parents may film all of their child’s scenes.

Whether you’re a beginner or experienced actor, let Lane’s techniques help you become the performer you’ve always wanted to be. It’s so much more than just remembering lines.

Friday, July 13th: 4:15 - 6:15pm

2 Hour On-Camera Workshop for TV, Stage and Film with Television Actor Lane Napper. After registering, Students will be emailed a script prior to start of Workshop. Student can choose whether or not they want to do something comedic or dramatic. The scene will then be videotaped in class.

Open to all levels of acting abilities. Scenes are like something you might see on the CW, FreeForm, Nickelodeon or Disney. At the start of the Workshop Lane will give a short discussion on how to make your scene “POP” with energy, focus and being aware of your space. He will also educate students on what casting offices are looking for. “It’s so much more than just knowing the words on the page”.

As students do their scene, Lane will be coaching them to help bring the performance to a whole new level. Lane will help students with Acting techniques, character development and auditioning etiquette. At the end of the Workshop, students will be given a link so that they can view the scene. This workshop should not be missed!

*This intensive is only permitting 15 students, so please reserve your spot early. There will be no "same date" registering for this workshop. Students must register prior to start date.

Camp PULSE Dancers - Come dressed in your favorite pajamas for an hour of fun games, dance contests and more! You’ll receive a goodie bag at the door full of sweets and treats galore!  You’ll play, laugh and make new friends.  Parents you’re welcome to stay or go and dancers feel free to bring your siblings too! This is an hour you don’t want to miss!


Saturday, July 14th, 8:00 PM

The Final Night Gala is the finale to not only our Summer Las Vegas, but our entire PULSE, Camp PULSE and Open Call Season! Filled with surprises and special guests, the show will also showcase dancers from our private Faculty Invitationals, our PULSE Protégé Program, Camp PULSE Counselor Program, Principal Lead Role Winners, Guest Performances and the top routines from our Battle Royale Finals! We will also be announcing our Elite PULSE Protégés and Lead Camp Counselors for the 2018-2019 Season.


Every great dancer needs a great headshot! Use this headshot for your next audition, school event, or local newspaper. A professional resident photographer will take your picture right at The PULSE + Camp PULSE for an exclusive discounted rate! Dancers may also sign up to have their hair and make-up professionally done before their photos. Sign up for your desired time slot on-site (keep in mind it may be before, between, or after classes).

Price: $150/dancer + Add Hair & Make-up for $100/dancer


All registered participants are eligible for scholarships! Dancers may pick up a number during check-in. We do not have a traditional closed audition. Instead, The Faculty choose to reward dancers who catch their eye in classes - whether it’s recognizing technique, drive, style or enthusiasm. This process not only permits more class time, but also allows for a controlled, creative, casual atmosphere. We ask that you wear your scholarship number throughout the entire weekend so each faculty can get the chance to see you during your class performance! We will announce our winners at the Scholarship Ceremony on Saturday.

We invite teachers to come meet our Directors as we discuss the dance world and any questions you may have for your students or your studio. Your suggestions and comments are very valuable and appreciated. Business & Bagels is an open floor discussion.


Don’t miss these private classes with some of the most respected and sought-after choreographers! Closed to all students, just for our teachers. This class is one of the most talked about experiences of the weekend!

We invite parents to join our Directors for an open floor Q & A session. Ask any questions you may have about your dancers, your studio, The PULSE or Camp PULSE, or the dance world. We will go over any last minute updates for the weekend and the schedule as well.

This is a chance to sit down with our Directors and Alumni PULSE Parents for an open forum discussion on all thing "PULSEFam" such as opportunities in the industry, agents, college vs. career, and your dancers path and dreams. Feel free to ask questions and give feedback.

Saturday, July 1st, 11:45 AM

The Camp PULSE Parent Show-Off is an opportunity for dancers to show what they have learned over the weekend. There will be a short rehearsal prior to the show off for dancers to review. This rehearsal will be closed to all parents (including those with observer bands). Rehearsal will begin at 11:00 AM, in which all parents will be asked to leave the room.


It can be difficult to catch the Faculty in between classes for photos, so we have designed a great system ensuring that all dancers can have a PULSE & Camp PULSE photo in a timely and organized fashion! These are the only times we will host a group photo session with the faculty throughout the workshop. In order for this opportunity to run smoothly, we ask that you abide by the procedure created by the staff and faculty. Camp PULSE Photoshoot will be Wednesday immediately following the last class in the Camp PULSE Room. The PULSE Photoshoot will be Friday night immediately following the Battle Royale Finals. These photos are available to purchase at the retail booth on Saturday!

Lunch Options
Our goal is to keep you dancing all day, so we keep your lunch breaks short. There are many great choices all around Bally’s for food including grab and go, delis, fine restaurants and more! Cash and Carry Food Sales will be set up each day.

PLEASE NOTE: No food or drink may be brought into the Event Center. The hotel requires security to check bags so please abide by this rule. There will be dedicated eating areas on both the PULSE and Camp PULSE levels of the event Center. There will be water stations in each room for the dancer’s convenience. Thanks for your corporation.

Payment Options
All registration sales will be CASH ONLY. No Exceptions. Gala Tickets purchased through Eventbrite will accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express or cash.

Dress Code
There is no dress code for The PULSE & Camp PULSE -- come as you are! Most dancers wear hip hop clothes, sweats or tighter-fitting outfits for contemporary classes. Remember, you will be dancing on carpet, so bring several dance shoe options such as jazz shoes, sneakers, dance paws, knee socks or whatever you feel comfortable in. Be sure to pick up the hottest PULSE & Camp PULSE gear to wear in class as well! Please be mindful of your age when choosing your outfit. We encourage age appropriate dance attire! Thank you!

On-site shopping
The PULSE hosts the hottest vendors in dance wear and dance gear -- take a break and do some shopping! Shop at in the pre-function area for the latest in dance apparel, footwear and accessories! It features our favorite vendors including PULSE and Camp PULSE, Urban Empire, Sugar & Bruno, So Danca, Young Lions, Pastry, Dancers Responding to Aids, and more!

Photos and Videos can be purchased at the PULSE & Camp PULSE Retail booth. Be sure to use our Snapchat filter and use the hashtag #PULSEDanceFam #PastPresentFuture #PULSEVegas during the week to share your experience with us!

This summer, you can take home your PULSE and Camp PULSE experience professionally captured. We’ll video you doing a combo of your choice alone or with friends ON STAGE with full lights and sound. You can use it for your reel, for your archives or just for the experience.
